Project Overview:

PatAsh and Civil were successful in their bid to win the Flood recovery work for Moira Shire in 2012.


After award, PatAsh quickly established a local office to control the contract in Numurkah. PatAsh employed 100% local staff from the affected area, including truck drivers, plant operators and management teams. We also had a large subcontractor base who were all local to the area.

All materials were sourced locally – quarry materials, concrete products, office equipment, mechanical parts and labour and accommodation.


Our scope of works was as follows:


Road reconstruction works

  • Gravel road re-sheeting

  • Construction of new gravel roads

  • Bitumen reinstatement – patching program >8,000m2

  • Shoulder reconstruction

  • Asphalt edge sealing

Drainage Works


  • Installation of new culverts

  • Installation of new headwalls and wing walls

  • Desilting of existing swale drains

  • Rock beaching to bridges, culverts
