PatAsh and Civil were successful in their bid to win the Flood recovery work for Moira Shire in 2012.
After award, PatAsh quickly established a local office to control the contract in Numurkah. PatAsh employed 100% local staff from the affected area, including truck drivers, plant operators and management teams. We also had a large subcontractor base who were all local to the area.
All materials were sourced locally – quarry materials, concrete products, office equipment, mechanical parts and labour and accommodation.
Our scope of works was as follows:
Road reconstruction works
Gravel road re-sheeting
Construction of new gravel roads
Bitumen reinstatement – patching program >8,000m2
Asphalt edge sealing
Installation of new culverts
Installation of new headwalls and wing walls
Desilting of existing swale drains
Rock beaching to bridges, culverts
